Dear Staff,

May is filled with many exciting and important celebrations and causes. First, May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This is a time to acknowledge the importance of our mental health and well-being, and to reflect on how we can support one another in our community. Your mental health is as important as your physical health, and it's essential that we foster an environment where everyone feels supported and heard. We all have a role to play in creating a workplace that is open, compassionate, and respectful of our colleagues' needs. In this edition of Limelight, we will share some tips on how to make your mental health a priority in the workplace.

In May, we also celebrate Nurses/Clinician's Week, as well as Teacher Appreciation Week. We had a wonderful time last week celebrating two integral workforces in our organization. May also marks Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, where we take time to reflect and celebrate the important role that Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) have played in our shared history. In this edition of Limelight some of your coworkers will reflect on what this important celebration means to them.

Quarterly Town Halls

President/CEO Rob Ciatto will be hosting the second quarter Town Hall meetings in June.

Due to high participation in the past several meetings and our limitations on Zoom, we ask that each employee only attend one meeting per quarter. We will also record one session per quarter that we will make available for all staff to access after the meeting.

A Sweet 16 to Remember
On May 8th, Roberta Gozza, or 'Nurse Bert' as she's known around Kramer Learning Center, celebrated her 16th anniversary working at ACLD. KLC staff surprised her with a “Sweet 16” party and was surrounded by loved ones who showed appreciation sharing laughs and memories. Our students made cards and posters expressing their gratitude and love! Here’s to many more years of you making our boo-boos feel better. We LOVE you Nurse Bert!
