Livingston County Commences County Administrator Succession Plan


The Livingston County Board of Supervisors has named David Pribulka as the new deputy county administrator for Livingston County, effective September 3, 2024.

 

As part of the county’s administrator succession plan, Pribulka will serve in an interim period until current County Administrator Ian M. Coyle’s tenure ends on December 31, 2024. Following the successful completion of this transition term, the board of supervisors will consider a new term of office for Pribulka as county administrator, which would be effective January 1, 2025. The county used a similar process for administrator succession in 2008 when Coyle also began his term as the interim county administrator.

Livingston County Celebrates Bring Your Child to Work Day


On Aug. 1st, Livingston County invited some of our younger residents to celebrate Bring Your Child to Work Day. The event let kids explore the inner workings of county government alongside their parents and guardians. The day kicked off with breakfast treats and a warm welcome from County Administrator Ian M. Coyle, who highlighted the vital services provided by county employees. Engaging activities included a scavenger hunt, hands-on job shadowing, and a nature walk at the Murray Hill Campus.

Livingston County Office of Emergency Management Unveils New State-of-the-Art Fire Training Tower


The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is taking firefighter training to the next level with the recently completed construction of a new fire training tower located at the Hampton Corners County Complex in Mount Morris.


The four-story facility has burn rooms on three floors and will allow local firefighters to hone their skills in a number of different fire scenarios, including basement fires, second-story blazes, and other types of firefighting situations.
