Livingston County Secures $26.5M to Bring High-Speed Internet Countywide with Light Up Livingston


Livingston County has been awarded $26.5 million through Empire State Development's ConnectALL Municipal Infrastructure Program (MIP) grant to provide an open access fiber network which will connect more than 4,000 County addresses with access to high-speed internet. This announcement marks an important step toward realizing the goal of providing high-speed fiber optic internet to every address in the County.

Livingston County Names Megan Crowe Planning Director


The Livingston County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the promotion of Megan Crowe as the County’s new Director of Planning, effective June 30, 2024. Crowe brings more than a decade of experience to the role most recently having served as Deputy Planning Director for the County, where she was instrumental in advancing work related to broadband, housing, transportation, mobility management, water and wastewater infrastructure.

Livingston County Announces $1.09 Million Grant for Town of York Transportation Improvements


The Town of York has been awarded a $1,090,557 grant from New York State (NYS) as part of its initiative to enhance alternative transportation options in local communities.

 

The funding, provided through the Federal Highway Administration's Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and administered by the NYS Department of Transportation, will support transportation safety improvements for the Hamlet of Greigsville near the intersection of State Routes 63 and 36, close to York Central School.
