We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for LUNCH ON THE LAWN this past Friday, April 26th. Your presence truly made the event special, fostering connections between parents and students and strengthening our school community.

It was a joy to see families gathered together on the Oak Grove, sharing delicious meals and creating lasting memories. Your picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and tasty lunches added to the vibrant atmosphere of the day.

Your participation contributed immensely to the success of the event. Once again, thank you to each and every one of you for making LUNCH ON THE LAWN a memorable occasion. We look forward to creating more opportunities for connection and community.

Warmly,

TRACK MEET

The Oak Middle School track meet on Thursday, April 25th was an exciting celebration of health and fitness that left everyone feeling energized and inspired. Athletes from across all grade levels showcased their talent and determination as they competed in various track and field events. Every participant demonstrated incredible athleticism and sportsmanship.

Beyond the thrill of competition, the track meet fostered a sense of camaraderie and unity among students, coaches, and spectators alike. Cheers and encouragement filled the air as Lions rallied behind each other, pushing themselves to new heights and celebrating every personal best achieved. This event not only highlighted the importance of physical activity but also emphasized the value of teamwork, perseverance, and healthy competition. It was a day filled with joy, excitement, and a shared appreciation for the benefits of leading an active lifestyle.

LIONS OF THE WEEK

The Den

Our wellness monthly initiative for April is Self-Care and Mental Healthiness. In today's fast-paced and often stressful world, it is crucial for students to learn how to take care of their mental health. By promoting self-care and mental healthiness, we not only support our students' academic success but also their overall well-being and happiness. Teaching students to recognize and manage their emotions, sleep, stress, and anxiety not only enhances their ability to cope with challenges but also prepares them for a lifetime of healthy habits. Be sure to check out our Self-Care and Mental Healthiness resources below.

April is also recognized as the Month of the Military Child, a time to honor and celebrate the resilience and sacrifices made by children in military families, so that we all can live free. Be sure to show your appreciation by wearing the color purple throughout the month!

And remember to check out the resources below.
