OAK MIDDLE SCHOOL WEEKLY UPDATE
Academics, Athletics, Activities and the Arts

Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for this week, March 26th, March 28th and March 29th. We believe communication between home and school is a critical component in an effective partnership and serves as the basis for collaboration between parents and teachers. If you want to schedule a conference, please contact the teacher directly for available times.

As a reminder, we observe a minimum day schedule during the 3-days of conferences and will be dismissing students at 12:20pm (ISPE 11:50am).

You never have to wait for Conferences! If you have a question about your student’s grades, please check their assignments in Aeries and then email teachers directly at any time.

We appreciate you, thank you for your continued support of our Lions!

Warmly,

Evelyn Garcia

Oak Principal

CAREER DAY

On Tuesday, March 19th, Careers came to life at Oak! The energy and enthusiasm displayed by our students as they delved into various career opportunities were truly inspiring. I want to express my sincere appreciation to our esteemed Oak PTA and the invaluable efforts of Ms. Reynolds for their instrumental role in orchestrating this remarkable event. Without their unwavering dedication and support, such a memorable experience would not have been possible.

I would also like to extend a special thank you to all the presenters who graciously volunteered their time and expertise to enlighten our students about their respective professions. Your commitment to nurturing the aspirations of our young learners is deeply appreciated.

Additionally, the luncheon that followed the presentations provided a heartwarming opportunity for our Lions and the parent presenters to come together and forge meaningful connections.

Your collective contributions have undoubtedly enriched the fabric of Oak Middle School, reaffirming our commitment to fostering a thriving environment where students are empowered to explore their passions and realize their full potential.

WALK THROUGH

I am thrilled to share with you the wonderful experience we had during the recent school walkthrough visit from our esteemed Superintendent, Dr. Pulver, accompanied by two dedicated board members, Mrs. Hill and Mr. Fayette. It was truly an honor to showcase the vibrant learning environment at Oak Middle School to such esteemed guests. Throughout the walkthrough, they witnessed firsthand the hands-on learning and exploration taking place in our classrooms, and I am proud to report that their feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

The enthusiasm and engagement demonstrated by both our students and teachers left a lasting impression on Dr. Pulver, Mrs. Hill, and Mr. Fayette. Their recognition of the dedication and commitment of our Lions and staff members is a testament to the collaborative spirit that thrives within our school community. I extend my deepest gratitude to our Superintendent and our Board who continue to support our school success and reaffirm our collective commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience for all our students.
