"Summer Faith Exercise" From Pastor Rob
cartoon weight lifter
As it warms up, more and more people are getting outside. Hiking, jogging, bike-riding, golfing; the summer months encourage activity and exercise. I propose that in addition to working out your body for strength, endurance, and health, you exercise your spirit so you’ll grow as a disciple.
There numerous spiritual disciplines and areas of focus one can practice to bolster one’s commitment to Christ. For the summer of 2023, I propose faith-life integration.
Identify one area of your life; your golf game; your tv watching; your job; doing chores around the house; going out with friends; it can be any area of life that takes several hours in the week and that you regularly practice. I suggest picking just one. READ MORE
The Chosen Summer Bible Study - Mondays @ 7pm beginning June 12th
Join us this summer for an 8-week study based on the TV series The Chosen (season 1). We will gather on Mondays at 7pm, watch the episode, then break into groups to discuss the show with biblical framework. We hope to see you there. Plan to come? Let us know so we can plan for the size of the group.

As the biggest crowdfunded project in TV history, The Chosen is the first-ever-multi-season show about the life of Jesus. This series allows us to see Him through the eyes of those who knew him. Follow the transformations of His followers through the ministry of Jesus as He journeys to change the world.

Can’t join us on Monday nights? You can watch on your own by streaming the series for free through the Angel Studios website.

Hillside Solar Update
John Roberts reports: For the last billing month, the Hillside Church solar array provided more electricity to Duke Energy than what was purchased from Duke Energy. We received a bill for zero kilowatt-hours! The church now has a credit of 527 kWh that applies to next month's bill. For the previous month, the solar array provided 97% of the electricity for the church building.
