"Tragedy in Chapel Hill" From Pastor Hong
The tragic shooting that took place on the UNC campus last Monday continues to shock and sadden me. Like many, I ask: What happened to that student that led him to commit such an act? How will the elderly parents in China of Dr. Yan, the victim, cope? How will his two young daughters come to terms as they grow up without their father? And I ask myself: What can we, as a church and as Christians, do as neighbors in this grieving community?
Without a doubt this is a tragedy with more than one victim. Dr. Yan lost his life, leaving his elderly parents without their only child's care and companionship.
