"Open Doors, Closed Minds"

The Rev. Julie Stoneberg

“This is the church of the open minds.” Yet every change or new idea involves some loss and can threaten our sense of security and identity. How do we react to such threats? Can we be the people who risk our comfort to create the life-changing realities that are needed to bring a world of love and justice into being? Rev. Jullan’s message is taken from a lecture she delivered to the Canadian Unitarian Council in May '23.

Come enjoy the inspiring music of Kaleidoscope.

Beloved Conversations Within

This program is for people seeking to embody racial justice as a spiritual practice. It focuses on the internal work that each of us needs to do as we engage in deeper personal understanding, explorations of race and racism, extracting our souls and spirits from white supremacy culture, and work for racial justice.

Making UUCW a Beacon for Social Justice in Waukesha County

Thursday, Sept 14, 6:30 - 8 pm

UUCW is both well-positioned and well-resourced to make a difference in the county where we're located! We're already part of SOPHIA, a Waukesha organization of "people of faith united by a passion for justice, commitment to community, and a practice of hope."

Come to this session to learn about community organizing and how a core team could inspire vital social justice action at UUCW. This is important for residents of Waukesha County, but all are welcome. You say you want to make a difference. Here's how!

Our Split the Plate Partner for August is Our Space.

Our Space Drop-in Center is a voluntary day program that provides members with support and community. Members determine the recovery path that works best for them.

Happy Birthday,

Karen Zimmerman!

Former Board of Trustees President Rob Zimmerman ensured a grand slam birthday celebration for Karen last week. The entire Board of Trustees hosted this tailgate party which was offered as part of last fall's UUCW auction. Besides watching the game on a big screen, participants played games and enjoyed wonderful ballpark food. Thank you to all who participated to support UUCW!

"What Shall We Make of our Church?"

Eddee Daniel

Worship Team Member

We are in transition. What does this mean? Yes, we are in search of a new minister. But let’s do more than that: let’s reimagine who we are and who we wish to be as a congregation. UUCW has a long history of doing just that!

Join long-time UUCW member and Transition Team Chair Eddee Daniel to examine that history and learn what it might mean to disrupt UUCW again.
