The Latest News from Schaefer Halleen

The past quarter has been exciting for Schaefer Halleen. Our knowledge in workplace discrimination landed us front and center on a local news station and we even received the news that three of our attorneys have gained increased notoriety by being named to the Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists for the fourth consecutive year.

Over the last several weeks political tensions have been very high. WCCO TV recently explored the answer to the popular question, "Can I Be Fired For My Beliefs" and our very own Larry Schaefer weighed in on the topic in an exclusive interview: 

"If you're a private employee, the answer is yes. You have to be careful about what activity you engage in, even as a private citizen, because it can affect your employment."

MSUM Age Discrimination Case Settled




William Bisek has sued his former employer, Border Foods, Inc. - one of the largest Taco Bell franchisees in the United States - for retaliation under the Minnesota Whistleblower Act.  Mr. Bisek alleges that he was wrongfully terminated for reporting serious food safety violations at Taco Bell's Columbia Heights, Minnesota, location to Border Foods' management.
