This is an unprecedented time for Brownfield funding in Ohio and our experience leading the state can help you secure your piece of the pie. Since 1999, Partners has guided the way in how Brownfields are conducted in Ohio and our unparalleled technical expertise, understanding of the funding programs and regulatory relationships have allowed us to secure tens of millions of dollars for our Clients. We helped draft this new program and are working on many of the early projects already.
A total of $350M is being allocated for remediation, with each county in the State receiving $1M in grants. The remaining funding, beyond the $88M, will be allocated on a first come, first serve granting process. A 25% match will be required for these projects. This is an ideal program for the remediation of properties where the previous owner(s) abandoned the property, caused the environmental issue, is out of business, and there are no assets available to contribute to the cleanup efforts.
