Sarah Angst Stewart is a fifth-generation Lebanon area resident, as her second great-grandfather arrived in Laclede County in 1897. She has collected a wide variety of knowledge and skills throughout her life. Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in history at Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Master of Public Administration at Missouri State University. Over the past seventeen years, she has worked in areas that include the public sector, marketing, fundraising, grant administration, volunteer coordination, and historic preservation.
She is thrilled to be a part of Downtown Lebanon’s revitalization efforts and utilize her knowledge and skills to do great things for the community she loves.
I am most excited to see the historic character of Downtown Lebanon being brought new life. Our façade grant program has allowed our building owners to revive their buildings and show their uniqueness. There is a connection between the people and places of our past and the people and places of today, and I am honored to be a part of the effort to preserve those places that connect us to those who came before us.
