Business Grant Opportunities


BK-XL Start Up Accelerator- a Brooklyn-based, early-stage startup accelerator for underrepresented founders powered by the Joe and Clara Tsai Foundation’s Social Justice Fund, invites applications for its second cohort. Up to twelve startups will be selected for BK-XL’s second cohort, with each to receive a $125,000 investment in exchange for 7 percent equity on a SAFE note, with the opportunity to earn follow-on investments within 12 months of program completion. The program is industry-agnostic, welcoming startups registered anywhere in the United States to apply and build their companies in Brooklyn. The Social Justice Fund and the BK-XL team are partnering with leading investing firms such as Benchstrength, Visible Hands, Udy Road, Harlem Capital, Infinity Ventures, and WndrCo, who will serve on a program advisory council, helping to select founders and serve as guides throughout the program curriculum.The application deadline is May 1, 2024. NAACP X Bacardi Backing the Bar

This is a $10,000 grant for Black-owned businesses in the liquor industry. The NAACP and BACARDI are working to support under-represented minorities in the beverage alcohol service, sales, and hospitality industries. The application deadline is May 24, 2024. 2024 EmpowHer Grant

This grant is open to female entrepreneurs in support within the early stages of their business. Businesses that address any of these social issues in their product or business model are eligible to apply; poverty and hunger, sustainability & the environment, and strong communities. eBay Up & Running Grant

eBay is giving back to the small businesses that power America. The eBay Up & Running Grant program will award 50 eBay business sellers with grant packages of $10,000, including cash, eBay education, and a $500 stipend sellers can use to equip themselves with essential office technology from eBay Refurbished. Grassroots Organizing National Grant Program

The National Grassroots Organizing Program offers two-year unrestricted, general operating support grants of up to $30,000 per year, with an average grant size of $20,000 per year, to small (budgets under $350,000), constituent-led grassroots organizations throughout the United States and its territories. Comcast Rise Grant

This is a $5,000 grant program, open to businesses and entrepreneurs that are committed to uplifting their local communities. The Comcast Rise program is built to help businesses and their communities thrive with a focus on economic growth. grant package that includes business consultation services, educational resources, monetary grants, creative production, a media schedule, and a technology makeover. Run The Block

This is a $200,000 grant program, open to Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC). The Running Industry Diversity Coalition (RIDC) is taking a focused approach, starting with Black ownership in the running industry. The grant award should be used to open a new retail running store in the US and dedicated mentorship to support them along the way. Anyone can apply with their store having at least 51% Black ownership., women-owned beauty businesses. The Women's Enterprise Action Loan Fund is a loan fund for women-owned businesses in the New York Tri-State area. WEALF acknowledges the struggles of women founders who have the courage, creativity, and tenacity to create businesses, despite being denied access to commercial credit. During the past ten years, our experience proves time after time, no matter their age, zip code, or ethnicity, these entrepreneurs are creditworthy.
