NRPC at the 2nd Annual Nashua Sustainability Fair
Also on Saturday, April 20, NRPC's Cassie Cashin staffed an information table at the fair organized by the City of Nashua Community Development. Attendees were provided with information about the Household Hazardous Waste Program, the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Program - and what NRPC is doing, along with the Locally Coordinated Transportation Plan survey for the plan's update. Protect Our Ponds
On April 6, NRPC staff members Emma Rearick and Cassie Cashin discussed sustainable practices at the The Protect Our Ponds event organized by the Town of Pelham. All residents in our region, regardless of whether they have shoreline property, can help protect our ponds, lakes, rivers, and wetlands by properly disposing of their household hazardous waste and managing the rainwater on their property.

Bike Sale
NRPC/RCC7 Mobility Manager, Donna Marceau was among the 18 volunteers at the Gate City Bike Co-op Sales on April 27. 90 donated bikes were refurbished and sold at the event that raised over $9,000 to help Gate City Bike Co-op continue its bike refurbishment and donation program.

NH OPD Spring 2024 Planning & Zoning Conference
The New Hampshire Office of Planning and Development (OPD) Spring 2024 Planning and Zoning Conference is a free, full day online conference on Saturday, May 11 from 8:45 am to 3:30 pm.
The conference will have three tracks: Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Historic Preservation and Housing.

Revitalizing New England: Brownfields Summit 2024
May 29-30, Portland, ME
The Northeast Waste Management Officials’ Association (NEWMOA) has partnered with the brownfields programs in the New England states and tribes and the University of Connecticut Technical Assistance to Brownfields (UConn TAB) program to organize another two-day Summit to advance understanding of state and federal brownfield programs and opportunities.
The goals of the Summit are to:
- Share information about the financial incentives, liability protections, technical and other assistance available for brownfields development from federal and state governments
- Promote best practice and lessons learned across states and tribes
- Provide an opportunity to increase networking and information-sharing among key stakeholders
