KNEWSLETTER - Vol. 63
Greetings!
Summertime is just a weekend away and friends are going to start coming out of the woodwork with sunscreen in hand and coolers full of cheer. Are you and your boat ready? Time sure does march on. Weren’t we just talking about how spring has just sprung? Before you know it, it will be fall and you’ll want to start thinking about wintertime projects… and while we do have a lot of indoor space, there’s only so much of it… start thinking about your wintertime projects and lock in your Kyard time before it’s too late!

In the meantime, enjoy your boatload of sunscreen and cheer until we see you again!

Captain Donald Lawson is a rare sailor, sailing single-mindedly since age 9, when he realized that no-one else looked like him, an African American lad. He has devoted his life and career to sailing: teaching, crewing, delivering and racing.

In April he acquired Mighty Merloe, a record breaking ORMA 60 trimaran, which he will sail while attempting to break more records sailing around the world, cleanly and sustainably, hoping to be an inspiration to the next generation of sailors. The Mighty Merloe will be moored in front of the Corinthian for several days, eta Monday 5/23. Check it out!
