Alumnae Holiday Happy Hour

Mark your calendar and grab your IWA friends and join us for a night of festive fun at the annual Alumnae Holiday Happy Hour on December 1, 2022!

The event will once again be hosted at IWA. Campus tours will begin at 5:30pm, with drinks and appetizers starting at 6:00pm.

Remembering "SMK"

The entire Incarnate Word Academy community was saddened to hear of the passing of our beloved Sister Mary Kay Mackenzie, CCVI '58 (“SMK”) into eternal life on November 3, 2022, in St Louis, Missouri.

Sr. Mary Kay served in various ministries over the years, including education on the elementary, secondary, and university levels in Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, and New Mexico. She also served with Habitat for Humanity in Missouri, and with East Side Heart and Home Center in Illinois.

SMK is perhaps best known to the IWA community as a much loved and respected math teacher. “The best math teacher I ever had,” and “a force of nature,” are just a few of the comments that have been shared on social media since her death. SMK was also known for personalized, hand-knit gifts that she bestowed upon her homeroom students.

We thank God for Sr. Mary Kay and for her many years of dedicated service. We are confident she is now enjoying the fullness of life with God. May she rest in peace.

IWA CHRISTMAS

CONCERT

Gather your family for some holiday cheer and head to the Incarnate Word Academy Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 8.

Hear the Marian and Circle Choirs perform under the direction of Dr. Maureen Bierhals. The merry event begins at 7 p.m. in the IWA Theater.

Admission is free.

NEW GYM FLOOR

DEDICATION

All are invited to attend the official dedication of IWA's recently renovated gymnasium on Thursday, February 16, 2023 in conjunction with IWA's basketball game vs. Ursuline Academy.

Reception is from 5:30-7:00pm; Varsity game begins at 6:00pm.
