Many exciting things are happening at our chamber this summer, but there's even more in our community! If you know of an event (Member or Non-Member) that could use some FREE promotion, add it to our Community Events Calendar!

It could be a fundraiser, a grand opening, a community garage sale or anything else you want to invite people to.

Canadian Business Data Lab: Generative AI Adoption by Canadian Businesses

The Business Data Lab (BDL) has been keeping a close eye on the adoption of Generative AI — or Gen AI — by Canadian businesses for a while, knowing that the possibilities presented by this transformative technology will have major implications for business, as well as Canada’s global competitiveness and future prosperity.

Last week, we released our findings in a new report titled "Prompting Productivity: Generative AI Adoption by Canadian Businesses."

This report delves into the current state of Gen AI adoption among Canadian businesses, uncovering key trends, opportunities, and challenges.

Despite the transformative potential of this innovative technology, our findings reveal that 73% of businesses in Canada have yet to consider integrating it into their operations.

This analysis offers valuable insights into how Gen AI can drive productivity, enhance decision-making and foster innovation across various sectors.

What you will gain from this report:

  • In-depth analysis of Gen AI adoption trends in Canada.
  • Real-world case studies showcasing successful AI integration.
  • Practical recommendations for businesses and policymakers.
  • Insights into overcoming common barriers and misconceptions about AI.
