Alumni Spotlight

Dan Passacantilli '90

We were honored to celebrate Dan Passacantilli '90 at the 18th Annual Gala as MC's Plus Ultra Honoree!

Dan Passacantilli '90, the eldest son of Lorraine and Dan Passacantilli, was born and raised on Hanover Street in Boston's North End. It was in that neighborhood that the importance of community and service was first instilled in Dan. His grandfather, Fred Langone, served as a Boston City Councilor for over two decades. His grandparents on the Passacantilli side owned a popular restaurant and community gathering spot, the Blue Front Restaurant, where Dan worked as a child.

Dan's parents recognized that their son had difficulty learning in the same way as his classmates. To assist him in overcoming these obstacles, they sought the help of the Xaverian Brothers and enrolled him in Malden Catholic. The lessons and skills that Dan developed during his time at Malden Catholic stayed with him throughout his life and career. With gratitude and recognition for this impact, Dan generously supported the Essential Malden Catholic Campaign, is a loyal member of the St. Francis Xavier Society benefiting the Malden Catholic Fund, and is a stalwart advocate of the Brother Kevin Program, which provides additional academic resources to students who need them. Dan and other alumni also assist with tuition for students who require financial aid to attend Malden Catholic.

Dan is also a dedicated contributor to Malden Catholic's mission to cultivate the next generation of leaders. He currently serves on the Development Committee for the anticipated expansion of Malden Catholic facilities and programs at 50 Crystal Street. As the MCAA's President since its establishment, Dan has shown immense devotion to Malden Catholic and its alumni. He has mentored numerous young alumni, providing valuable advice and internships at his company and elsewhere and connecting them with his extensive network in the public and private sectors.

Over the past 25 years, Dan has become a highly accomplished entrepreneur and technology consultant. After a brief stint at XO Communications, he established Blue Front Technology Group in 2002, where he introduced the Trusted Advisor approach to tech consulting. This innovative technique propelled Blue Front to become one of New England's most sought-after technology advisors, and they were even recognized as a top channel leading sales partner nationwide. Dan's leadership and expertise have made him a highly respected resource for Advisory Boards in the industry.

In 2022, Dan joined forces with two other like-minded company founders to create AmpliX. The company quickly established itself as a leading Trusted Advisor in the nation, prioritizing its clients above all else. Recently, Gemspring Capital of Westport, CT acquired AmpliX. As of now, Dan serves as the Chief Strategy Officer of AmpliX and holds a position on the board of directors.

Dan is a proud father to two beautiful children, Adriana and Marti. He obtained his BBA in Marketing from the University of Miami. In his free time, he enjoys watching University of Miami football and Malden Catholic basketball and spending cherished moments with his family in Narragansett, Rhode Island.

Congratulations, Dan!

Alumni Updates

Derrick Stone '13, President of FLINT Program Inc., had the opportunity to visit Malden Catholic where he reconnected with Principal Jeffrey Smith, who was a sponsor and mentor during his time at MC. We would like to thank Derrick and the FLINT Program Inc. for their generous support of Malden Catholic and our students!
