Today, Friday, May 17, 2024, we had our annual Field Day celebration this morning. All the students and staff gathered at the main campus to take part in the games and activities prepared by our teachers and staff. We enjoyed bouncy houses, a water slide, and lots of fun. The day ended with our traditional water balloon fight between the eighth graders and the teachers. We hope everyone had a great time on this beautiful day and has a wonderful weekend ahead. Just a reminder, today is an early dismissal day at noon! 💙💛

Todos los estudiantes y personal se reunieron en el campus principal para participar en los juegos y actividades preparadas por nuestros profesores y personal. Spring Sing 2024 🎼🎶🎵🎤
On Thursday, May 16th at 6:30 pm, we held our annual Spring Sing! All of our community gathered at St. Mark's Community Church's Auditorium for the concert. From Preschool to Eighth Grade, all of our students sang. Thank you to the parents & grandparents who purchased a Shout Out! We would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. Spradlin, and Mrs. Davis for preparing and teaching our students for this much-awaited performance.
At the end of the show, Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. Spradlin, and the Middle School Students surprised Mrs. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Kearney with a special song. Thank you teachers and staff for all you do to be a good influence on our students.💙💛

May Crowning
Last Wednesday, May 15, we celebrated the May Crowning-a prayer service we did at Our Lady of the Angels Center in honor of our Blessed Mother Mary. Students were encouraged to give Mary flowers. Emily, our eighth grader crowned Mary with flowers.

Kindergarten Class Fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation
On Thursday, May 17th in the morning, our Kindergarten classes sold bags of muffins and juices to fundraise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Students had a lot of fun doing this. Thank you parents who helped!

NJHS Color Run
Our annual Color Run, sponsored by the National Junior Honor Society will take place next Thursday, May 23rd. Make sure your child brings back the PERMISSION SLIP early next week.

Save the Date: End of the School Year Back Lawn Party!
Blessed Sacrament School will be hosting an End of the School Year Back Lawn Party on Friday, May 31st at the Main Campus from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm. We will have a food truck for families to purchase food, games, and fun!
Come and hang with the staff one last time before the summer begins! We will have Tacos Neza & the Mechanical Bull will be back to give students, staff & parents free rides.

Blessed Sacrament Knights of Summer Camp is proud to partner with Le Petit Ballet Co. to offer Ballet Camp once a week this summer!
The camp is targeted at students ages 3 through rising 2nd grade.

Contracts for the Upcoming School Year
By now, all of our BSS Families should have received a re-enrollment agreement from our admissions office. If your family is NOT waiting to hear from a scholarship, please sign your re-enrollment agreement ASAP. If your family has not signed a contract by May 25th, then your child's seat for next year is NOT guaranteed. We are at capacity in our rising 4th and 7th grade classes. Do not delay!
If your family has not received a re-enrollment agreement yet, or not planning to return to BSS, please contact Mr. Rico ASAP to let us know at admissions@bssknights.org. Thank you for choosing BSS!

NC Opportunity Scholarship Updates
If your family is renewing an NC Opportunity Scholarship for your child, make sure you do so by their deadline of July 1st or you will lose the scholarship. If you need help renewing your scholarship, please bring to the office and bring in the following documents so Mrs. Gomez or Mr. Rico can help you:
- Proof of family Income- A copy of your 2023 Tax Return or W2s/1099s from both parents.
- Family Size-Including both parents

Winter Uniforms
Friendly reminder, we will transition to our Summer Uniforms next Monday, April 8!
Summer uniforms begin next Monday, April 8. Just a few reminders:

French Toast items run very differently in sizing from Lands End. Sounds like the tops are much smaller.
- Review our Uniform Guidelines by CLICKING HERE.
- If you order any logo items and they are the wrong size, they CANNOT be returned.
- Orders are arriving in about a week. So if you need new shirts, you should order them as soon as possible to receive them in time.

Graham Sporting Goods is the ONLY provider of PE shirts. French Toast will not be offering them.

PE Uniforms:
You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.
PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.

We have new Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities for the 2023-2024 school year. We would love to help promote your business, while you support our school!
Money raised during the 2022-2023 school year was used for several major and unexpected expenses. We are in the process of replacing our 26-year-old Fire Alarm System at the Main Campus. We also replaced and repaired flooring in several areas of the building. A few rooms also received new paint!
Due to increased enrollment, we purchased 100 new Chromebooks for our students. None of these things would have been possible without the support of our community!
