Youth Venture camp offers entrepreneurship lessons


High schoolers spent four days learning how to create innovative ideas and pitch their business ideas with the help of industry leaders in the Youth Venture summer camp hosted by the Nault Center for Entrepreneurship.

Faculty Spotlights

Cihan Cobanoglu, dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, received the 2024 Tourism Ambassador Award from the Bradenton Area Visitors and Convention Bureau.


Anol Bhattacherjee, a professor in the School of Information Systems and Management and the Exide Professor of Business Ethics, won the Best Paper Award in the Research Paper track at the 16th International Conference on Information Resources Management.


Anand Kumar, a professor in the School of Marketing and Innovation, had the article “Are ‘10-Grams of Protein’ Better than ‘Ten Grams of Protein’? How Digits Versus Number Words Influence Consumer Judgements” published in the Journal of Consumer Research.


GJ de Vreede, interim dean at the USF Muma College of Business, received the INFORMS Group Decision and Negotiation Appreciation for Outstanding Service Award for his exceptional service contributions.

 

Carol Osborne, director of the Zimmerman Advertising Program, was quoted in a Palm Beach Post story on Father’s Day gift trends.

Elizabeth Mantovani (01, BS, Marketing, International Business) was promoted to chief operating officer at Sourcing Industry Group (SIG) and SIG University.


Anthony Mozzicato (07, BS, Management) accepted the vice president of fan experience and safety role for the new Intuit Dome, home of the Los Angeles Clippers. 


Jennifer Jolly (12, MS, Entrepreneurship) authored a new book, Becoming an Entrepreneur: Starting Your Journey and Finding Your Way.


Anaida Hasan (21, MS, Accounting, 20, BS, Accounting) was named to Poets&Quants’ MBA Class of 2025. She is a former USF Muma College of Business 25 Under 25 Award honoree.


Robert B. Carter (90, MBA) was elected to serve on the Board of Directors at Quest Diagnostics. Carter is the executive vice president and chief information officer at FedEx Corporation.


Robyn Cooper (98, BS, Information Systems and Decision Sciences) is OZ's new vice president for Global Human Resources.
