With the inclusion of references to U.S.-Japan high-speed rail cooperation in the outcome document of the previous day’s U.S.-Japan summit meeting, it was a particularly timely discussion on how the U.S. and Japan passenger rail are and can continue to offer social and economic value to cities and communities across these two countries.
