Summer is approaching, and while the sunshine is a welcome sight for many of us, we also know that in the disability community summer means gaps in supports for a lot of families.

Together We Thrive
Summer Pop-up Events and Meetups!
Together We Thrive round 1 is done and we had oh so much fun! but don't worry, We will be back in September. PEACE NW will be doing several community events in the summer like Resource fairs, Concerts at the Park and more! We will also be hosting pop-up Events at the park and Meet-ups in playgroups and libraries. If you would like to know where we will be, sign up for our "In the know" e-mails. We will give you information on what we are up to, Family Friendly events and Information on Our Weekly playgroup when we return with our new location!

Adult Community Residential Service Videos
Have you ever wondered what adult Community Residential Services DDA may be able to offer? We have created four short videos to help explain some of the similarities, differences and experiences in Supported Living, Group Training Home, Companion Home and Alternative Living services.

The Washington State Independent Living Council (WASILC) is conducting a survey of Washingtonians with disabilities and wants YOUR input!
WASILC wants to know more about the challenges individuals with disabilities face. Your input will shape efforts and funding that empower individuals with disabilities to live independently.

Get OUTSIDE with the Autism Society of Oregon!
These walks are meant to be a safe space for Autistic individuals, their families, friends, and supporters to be together to enjoy and experience nature without any agenda or judgment. This event is for Autistic adults only. We will have family dates available in the future.
What: Come and enjoy a beautiful, guided nature walk at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. The guided walks will be led by an Oregon Master Naturalist, Certified Interpretive Guide and former ASO Board member.

SUN Bucks is a summer EBT program to support children who lose access to free and reduced-price school meals during the summer months.
SUN Bucks is separate from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and provides $120 in food benefits to each eligible child.
This amount may be adjusted annually. Similar to SNAP, SUN Bucks is a flexible food benefit that families can use to buy food to help offset rising food costs.
