Dr. Faustino Gonzalez

23 years of service to

Trustbridge patients and

Medical Administration leadership

Dr Faustino Gonzalez was recently described as "an invaluable pillar" of the Trustbridge organization by interim President Tarrah Lowry, and longevity isn't the only contributing factor in this description.

In his years with Trustbridge, Dr Gonzalez has poured into ensuring hospice care access for all, providing educational opportunities for medical students and residents, and teaching social workers, chaplains, nurses and pharmacy students.

Committing his resources as well as time and talent to provide top notch services to patients and their families, in 2009 he led a committee of fellow team members to establish an employee giving program. Now known as Caring & Sharing, that program has grown to invest more than $50,000 annually into patient services through the Foundation.

Dr Gonzalez's support of the next generation of hospice caregivers will not stop anytime soon, as he plans new and continued ways to give back to the community through Trustbridge and Trustbridge Hospice Foundation.

2024 Trustbridge Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellows Celebrated

Dr Samir Khouzam and Dr. Jonathan Ganesh, the most recent graduates of Trustbridge's Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program.

Dr Ganesh will remain with Trustbridge as Associate Medical Director. Dr Khouzam will continue his work with Memorial Health System in Broward County.

Trustbridge's Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship is an extensive, one year program that has trained 25 fellows in all aspects of hospice care since 2008. Over 70% of the graduates continue caring for Trustbridge patients and families post-fellowship, and 100% are equipped to provide exceptional care and dignity to patients.

Trustbridge leadership and supporting organizations honored the new graduates

Supporting Foundations, Palm Beach Island Hospice Foundation and Trustbridge Hospice Foundation, as well as supporting educational institutions HCA Florida JFK Hospital,

University of Miami, and Veterans Affairs Medical Center, bestowed honors and well wishes throughout the graduation evening in front of close family and friends.

Dr Pathak stepped into the Physician Fellowship director role in 2024, partnering with founding director Dr Levene, whose vision helped secure the Fellowship Program 2008.

Both directors are passionate about the impact of the program. "We can't over emphasize the importance of the program", Dr Pathak insists. The program means bringing high character doctors to Trustbridge patients and families.

The 6^th annual Uptown 5K on the Runway is ready for takeoff! We officially kicked off the 2024 Event with our 5K VIP Event on June 27 at Ascend via Makers Air. Thank you to our Event Hosts, Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) and Ascend via Makers Air for a great evening.

We hope to see you on the FXE runway on Saturday, November 16! Click here to register by putting a team together, walking in honor of a loved one or for the chance to run/walk on the airport’s runway! Registration is free but required. Invite your family and friends to join you. There will be entertainment, refreshments, a kid’s zone and more. All proceeds benefit Trustbridge Hospice Foundation.

Trustbridge Pet Therapy dog Stella loves her patients and their families, but took a break recently to enjoy a little doggie pampering and a photo shoot.
