Meet ITGA's New President

Hello ITGA Community! As the new Board of Directors President, I wanted to briefly introduce myself. My name is Steve Patterson, and I am the Mayor of Athens, Ohio and former Associate Professor of Psychology at Ohio University. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the National League of Cities, the Ohio Mayor's Alliance, President of the Ohio Mayors Partnership for Progress and Vice Co-chair of the NLC's Race Equity and Leadership Council. Learn more. 

FAMU Offering Off-Campus Housing Incentives  

Florida A&M University is working to accommodate more incoming freshman who want to live on-campus after the university ran out of housing last month. The University is offering off-campus housing and food subsidies amounting to $1,079 per month.

New Community Collaboration to Address Off-Campus Public Safety  

University of Minnesota President Joan Gabel announced the formation of the University's first-ever Strategic Safety Advisory Committee, which will include students, parents, faculty/staff, and representatives from the city, MPD, and UMPD.

UNB Student Wins Free Tuition From Digital Scavenger Hunt  

The challenges were part of a week-long digital scavenger organized by the student representative council at UNB's Saint John campus. Student services, the student representatives council, and the office of the vice-president partnered to reward the free tuition.

Clemson University Partners With U.S. Space Force 

The Unites States Space Force (USSF) announced Clemson University as an official member of the organization's University Partnership Program. The USSF established the UPP to identify, develop, and retain a diverse STEM capable workforce.  Clemson is the 13th university to join the program.
