White House Officials Visit University to Highlight Cyber Job Opportunities

A&M-San Antonio recently hosted Jake Braun, the National Cyber Director, along with other guests for a special event that focused on cyber job opportunities and challenges. There was also a “Tech Fiesta" event with prominent stakeholders who discussed their roles in the San Antonio cyber ecosystem and offered tips for students. A&M-San Antonio is a regional leader in cyber education and research and one of nine Hispanic-Serving Institutions designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity by the National Security Agency.

Jaguar Student Media Shines with 28 TIPA Awards

The Jaguar Student Media earned 28 awards at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association, the most recognized and competitive collegiate journalism association in Texas. Jaguar Student Media dedicated these awards and accomplishments to University staff member Jesse Fuentes, who passed away in April. He was an important part of the team and the students’ success. 

Addressing Diabetes in Bexar County and Placing First



Students Nicole Becerra, Nate González and Samantha Puente won first place at the 2024 San Antonio Regional Public Health Competition with a project that addressed the alarming rate of diabetes in South Bexar county. This was the first year A&M-San Antonio participated in the regional competition, which is hosted by St. Mary’s University.

Transforming Faculty Success


Professor Jenny Moore is on track to earn a certificate from the International Coaching Federation, enabling her to assist other faculty members in achieving their professional goals. Read more.
