New Mural Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Texas A&M University- San Antonio arts, grounds, aesthetic committee, along with the support from Contemporary Art Month, will unveil the brand new mural at the Patriots Casa Mechanical Wall.

Texas A&M University-San Antonio Zoo Ring Day
A&M-San Antonio will celebrate at the renovated Neotropica habitat sponsored by the University. The official ring boxes will be enclosed in a larger wooden chest created by Practicum of Construction Management students from South San High School and placed inside the enclosure to be guarded over by the jaguars throughout the day.

Lights of Esperanza
Texas A&M University-San Antonio will host its annual Lights of Esperanza celebration open to the community.
- November 29, 2022, 6 - 8 p.m.
A&M-San Antonio’s holiday light display contains more than 30,000 lights that light up the campus and create a festive atmosphere. Food trucks, inflatable snow games, a movie showing for The Polar Express, photo opportunities and a light laser show will be available in the CAB Courtyard.

Associate Vice Provost Announced
Texas A&M University-San Antonio officially welcomed Dr. Duane Williams as the associate vice provost of student success and retention. Dr. Williams will develop and execute strategies for targeted intervention initiatives to support the University's enrollment, retention, persistence and student success. The associate vice provost will oversee Academic Advisement, the Student Academic Success Center, First-Year Experience and other student success-related initiatives within the division of Academic Affairs. Dr. Williams will closely collaborate with other University divisions, academic leadership and various campus units to develop, implement and evaluate student success initiatives. Read more.

University Awarded a DoD Grant for Diversifying STEM Ecosystem
The Department of Defense announced a $55 million grant to five consortium awardees under the national defense education program (NDEP). Texas A&M University-San Antonio is part of The Military City USA Consortium (MCUSA) awardees led by the Alamo College system. Dr. Akhtar Lodgher Regents Professor and Director of the Center of Information Technology and Cyber Security at A&M-San Antonio, worked collaboratively with the Alamo College District to achieve the grant and will serve as the principal investigator for A&M-San Antonio. University Host HR and School Safety Educational Leadership Panel
The Depart of Educational Leadership and Preparation and the College of Education & Human Development hosted two panels for a discussion on “Attracting and Retaining Highly Effective Employees and School Safety and Bullying Prevention.”
Panel and Audience included state and national representatives Texas State Senator Jose Menendez, State Representative Steve Allison, and many other State and Local community leaders, faculty, staff and students from various departments including Educational Leadership, Teacher Education, Counseling and the ASPIRE Network.
