Death at Work: Improving Support for Families

The Ageing Work and Health Research Unit at the University of Sydney and the School of Management at the University of New South Wales are conducting a study investigating the consequences of workplace death for surviving family members.

Thousands of family members become survivors of a sudden work-related death each year but little is known of how the death and the responses of government and other organisations affect them.

This world-first Australian Research Council funded study will pinpoint ways to improve support for partners and families following work-related tragedies. Results will be used to improve and better manage the consequences of work-related deaths for families.

The research team is currently inviting participants to complete a survey about their experiences. If you are interested in participating, please click here to be directed to the survey.

If you would like more information or would like the survey in hard-copy format, please call
0415 898 398 or email lynda.matthews@sydney.edu.au
