For one night, the largest whiskey tasting in the nation will take place in Columbia. 

Not New York. 
Not Chicago.
Not San Francisco. 
Not even Louisville, Kentucky.

On Thursday, September 10th, Columbia, South Carolina, will be the site for the 3rd Annual Great American Whiskey Fair and this year it will be bigger than ever because we've opened up the tasting to whiskeys from other countries! Ireland, Scotland, Canada and Japan will be presented in the Market Building next door to 701 Whaley, brining the total whiskey count to nearly 

FIVE HUNDRED WHISKEYS!

Master distillers, world brand ambassadors, distillery owners and local representatives will be on hand to pour samples and guide you through the wonderful world of whiskey. Whether you love bourbons, ryes, Scotch, blends or any other variation of whiskey, it will be presented at The Great American Whiskey Fair. 

To keep you going, Bourbon and LowCo BBQ will be providing a huge BBQ buffet full of pulled heritage pork, local quail, smoked brisket and much more!

In addition to all of the phenomenal whiskeys to taste, the Columbia chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild will be presenting signature cocktail samples made with some of our sponsor whiskeys like Larceny, Dewars, Jack Tennessee Fire and Crown Regal Apple! 



The Cigar Box will be on hand again this year 
on our Cigar Veranda, selling the finest cigars to go with your whiskey!

Cocktail Challenge! 

At 8PM, three of South Carolina's top mixologists will try to take down two-time GAWF Cocktail Challenge Champion, Craig Nelson from Proof. Kyle DeGoyler (upper left) from Poogan's Porch, Evan Christy (lower right) from Prohibition, and Columbia's own Shonn Tapley (lower left) from The Oak Table were selected from 30 mixologist submissions to compete this year. 

The judges will be made up of distillery luminaries and the prizes include $500 and a gift basket from Bottles
