"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Phil 1:3-6)

I'm excited to inform you that the "good work" that we began together through Global Men's Leadership in 2007 continues to this day in Northern Uganda in the town of Kitgum (pronounced Kitgoom)!

As you may remember, in 2007, we held the first ever Christian Men's Conference in Northern Uganda and I'm told most likely it was a first in the entire country of Uganda.  Around 150 men attended and they came from all over the area.  We taught them spiritual truth, fed them, gave them Bibles, and sent them back to their families and churches to apply what they learned.  The soil was prepared, the seed planted, watered, and tended and now fruit continues to be produced to this day.

As it turns out, the conferences have continued under the leadership of my Ugandan friend and counterpart, Robert Kennedy, and each year the number of men in attendance has grown and so has the spiritual maturity of men and pastors in the region.  I spoke with Robert this weekend and he is planning another conference this month which is expected to minister to the largest number of men yet, over 500!

Men are coming from all over the region, most by foot or bicycle, some by motorcycle, bus or truck. Some men will be walking 70 km one way to receive Biblical teaching and words from our Lord.  What a blessing!  Because we began this work together, I wanted to share this great news for 2 reasons:  so that you can pray for our brothers and so that you can support them financially if you are so led.

It costs about $5 per man to coordinate a conference of this magnitude.  Whether you support 1, 10, or 100 men ($5, $50, or $500), you will absolutely make a difference in the lives of men in Northern Uganda.  Click on the Donate button below for details on giving options.  We will accept donations for this Men's Conference until June 11th.

I am constantly amazed at how God has allowed Global Men's Leadership to plant seeds that produce fruit for His Kingdom.  The good work is so far reaching and beyond my own imagination.  Let us continue to do the good work that we began together to carry it on to completion until the day of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Thank you for your help.  On behalf of the men of Uganda, Robert Kennedy, myself, and Global Men's Leadership, we thank you for your prayers and your generosity.

Men's Conference
Kitgum, Uganda

I remember the day I sat down next to Robert Kennedy and he shared his vision for the men of Uganda.  It was definitely a God ordained meeting.  He and I are like-minded in regards to the importance of ministering to men.  Robert tends the garden that was planted in 2007 and continues to harvest the fruit of the labor. I could not ask for a more dedicated, spiritually mature man of integrity and man of God in Uganda.

Brock AFA Send Off
Personal Prayer Request

Praise God!  Answered prayer!  Brock was appointed to the United States Air Force Academy by Congressman Sam Johnson and reports June 26th.  This is absolutely answered prayer.  Please join us in praising our Lord for His provision.

We also ask that you pray for Brock as the first six weeks especially and the entire freshman year will be physically, mentally, and academically challenging.  Lack of sleep, high stress, and new and challenging situations will be the norm.  We ask that you pray for his health, attitude, and most importantly his walk with His Savior.  You could pray for Cheryl and me too as this is not just a college drop off, but actually sending our son into the military.  He will visit us on holidays and 3 weeks during the summer.

We are very proud of Brock.  The Lord has blessed him with tremendous knowledge, talent, and leadership abilities.  It is our prayer that Brock uses these God given talents for His glory.

Thank you for your prayers for our family, the ministry, and for God's provision.
