May 29, 2024

On Friday, May 17, surrounded by loved ones, classmates, guides, and the spirit of the SCM community, Jasmin Cabecera and Caleb Mariano Trejo Miramon graduated from St. Catherine's Montessori High School.

In their commencement addresses, the graduates spoke about their Montessori experiences, love for the St. Catherine's community, and their gratitude for the support they received during their years at SCM. After the ceremony, a reception was enjoyed by all and the graduates silently walked the school labyrinth to complete their journeys as St. Catherine's students.

Transitions

As we conclude another school year, our children and adolescents have been preparing for the next steps in their journey at St. Catherine’s. The third-year students had a special lunch together to memorialize their time together before moving up to Upper Elementary. The sixth-years celebrated their Rite of Passage at Camp Allen, where they reflected on their Elementary journey, worked on speeches, and built a 9-square game as a gift to the Elementary playground. The ninth-years celebrated their upcoming transition into the High School with a trip to the beach with the High School students.

AC SPOTLIGHT

AC Portfolio Showcase

Last Thursday evening the Adolescent Community hosted their Portfolio Showcase. The event provided a platform for the adolescents to showcase their favorite works from this year. The gymnasium was transformed into a fair-like setting, adorned with colorful displays and interactive exhibits. Each student had their own designated space to present their portfolio, which gave attendees the opportunity to explore. Each work was a testament to the dedication, skill, and personal growth of the adolescents, encapsulating their unique academic journeys throughout this school year.
