The Giving Challenge 2024 is coming soon!

Dear SCS Community,

The 2024 Giving Challenge is almost here! Thanks to the generosity of The Patterson Foundation, there will be a match on all unique donations between $25 and $100 per donor made during the Giving Challenge on April 9th –10th, 2024. As we prepare for this incredible opportunity, we need your help to make our campaign a success.

This year, funds from The Giving Challenge will be used to replace the outdoor field scoreboard with a multi-purpose LED board. With your donations, we will purchase a new board with capabilities that range from keeping game score and time to showing movies and more! This will benefit both boys and girls athletics at SCS, as well as the school community as a whole. Our goal for this project is $50,000. Can you help us reach it?

Below we have answered some frequently asked questions (FAQ's) and included a few easy ways that you can support us in our efforts.

WHAT IS THE GIVING CHALLENGE?

The Giving Challenge is an exciting 24-hour online giving event that connects about 700 nonprofit organizations with passionate donors and community members to support diverse causes and create enduring impact in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.

Since 2012, the Giving Challenge has acted as a catalyst for connection and provided more than $75 million in unrestricted funding over eight challenges.

IMPORTANT FAQ's

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Pray. Ask God to bless our efforts as we continue to educate students for eternity. Specifically pray for hearts to be moved to meet this need.

Share and share alike. Online days of giving such as the Giving Challenge are successful because of our own networks. Help us grow our network by sending this email to your network and ask your friends to do the same.

Be socially (media) active. Use your social media networks: post on Facebook, tweet about the Giving Challenge, share all SCS Giving Challenge posts, engage in our posts by liking and commenting and share your love for your Sarasota Christian School. Ask others to do the same.

Become a Peer-to-Peer (Champion) fundraiser. Everyone loves a champion, including us! We really need Peer-to-Peer fundraising champions to help drive people to our Giving Challenge profile on April 9th-10th. Contact Kelsey Curtis for more information on how to become a fundraising champion!

Issue a Challenge or Matching Gift. We are in need of donors who are willing to partner with us. Does YOUR business provide matching funds? Let us know if you or your employer would like to pledge to match a certain amount or issue a challenge and agree to donate if the challenge is met. Please contact Kelsey Curtis to find out more.
