If you find yourself angrier than normal this month, you should look beneath the emotion to its underlying message. (If you find yourself hornier than usual-- congratulations! the deep energy of your shakti (life force) is on the move and can be directed toward many creative ends.)
The gift of anger is to draw attention to something crucial you might otherwise miss.

As you look below the sharp heat of your emotion, you may experience a shift in the intensity of your feelings. Instead of running amok throughout your whole system and doing whatever it wants with you, you can claim power by getting to the root of the issue, which is whatever that anger's trying to tell you. That may release the heat, or, in cases where the root is chronic and deeper, it may increase it.
Anger in general, and sexual anger in particular, usually has to do with a violation of boundaries.

Ancient astrologers linked sexuality with anger, which indicates that when one is blocked, so is the other, and when one is freed, so is the other. If your sexuality has been blocked, you may be puzzled to find a rush of anger accompanying the flow of its return, simply because your life force is on the rise. Separating the truth of anger from the confusion of its intensity often catalyzes deep healing. A powerful practice, if you feel some violation, is to speak your truth without blame or judgment. |

The worst way to handle anger (yours or anybody else's) is to make it wrong, because each time it arises you'll be refusing to hear its message. Anger is no more wrong or right than is a tornado. Like a devastating storm, unchecked rage can become explosive and cause great damage, but the primal emotion itself is something that will pass through you if you let it. The less you demonize anger, the more you'll be able to hear its message and gain its gift.
