Club Women’s Volleyball qualifies for 1st ever Regional Competition
In an unprecedented first year of being chartered, the Club Women’s Volleyball team has qualified for the NWVCL D3 League Championship Tournament.
Through 6 tournaments this year, Marist’s Club Women’s Volleyball team accumulated 760 points and ended up with the 4th highest average points per tournament, securing them a spot in the championship tournament.
The tournament won’t be easy, as Quinnipiac, Rhode Island, and Providence all have higher average points than Marist. In pool play, Marist will have to play Quinnipiac, who they lost to in the Semifinals of a tournament in early February.
The NWVCL Championship Tournament takes place on April 13th at Sacred Heart.

Spirit Squads shine at the MAAC Spirit Showcase at the MAAC Basketball Championship
During Spring Break, the Cheer and Dance teams traveled down to Atlantic City for the MAAC Basketball Championship Tournament.
In between games, the teams participated in the annual Spirit Showcase, where each group was able to perform a routine in front of the other MAAC Spirit Squads. While it was not an official competition, the Spirit Showcase allowed our Spirit Squads to show off their high levels of athleticism and coordination, as they entertained and excited the crowd.
The Spirit Showcase helped the Dance Team prepare for The College Classic Nationals in Orlando and the Cheer Team prepare for the NCA & NDA Collegiate Championships in Daytona.

Club eSports claims Program of the Year and Overwatch 2
For the fifth year in a row, Marist eSports program went to the MAAC Championship and walked out named MAAC eSports Program of the Year, a cumulation of each game titles placement in their respective championship brackets.
The strength of the program was on full display, as the Overwatch 2 team claimed the MAAC Overwatch 2 Championship after taking down 6th seed Quinnipiac in the finals.
While the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team did not win their championship, their 2nd place finish was good enough to secure them a spot in the Collegiate Esports Commissioners Cup (CECC) in Austin, Texas.
