Class Registration Information
Registration for Spring 2024 will take place at my.marist.edu from Thursday, November 2 to Thursday, November 16.
The Registration Schedule below is based on total earned hours as of Summer 2023 (do not include your Fall 2023 classes as they are still in progress).
- Students with 90+ earned credit hours will register Thursday, November 2.
- Students with 60-89 earned credit hours will register Tuesday, November 7.
- Students with 30-59 earned credit hours will register Thursday, November 9.
- Students with 0-29 earned credit hours will register Tuesday, November 14.

Mid-Year Room Change Process
The process closes on Friday, November 10 at 12:00 p.m. EST
The mid-year room change process is an opportunity for students to request to change their assigned rooms. Resident students returning from abroad must use the Mid-year Housing Form to request campus housing for Spring 2024. Room change requests for Spring 2024 will only be considered through this process.
To request a room change students should submit the Mid-Year Room Assignment/Change Form. Room change requests for Spring 2024 will only be considered through this form. The form and other information about the process can be found on the left-hand side of this page under Mid-Year Room Change/Assignment Process.
The form closes at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023. E-mail requests will not be accepted.

Thanksgiving Break Closing Information
Residence areas will close for Thanksgiving Break on Tuesday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. and will reopen on Sunday, November 26 at 10:00 a.m..
The first meal served in the Dining Hall will be dinner on Sunday starting at 4:30 p.m.Classes resume Monday, November 27 at 8:00 a.m.
Instructions for room checkout, requests for Thanksgiving Break housing, dining, and other housing information can be found on the Housing & Residential Life section of the MyMarist website.
Please think about travel plans for your student early!

Thanksgiving Shuttle Tickets
Ticket sales through November 15

Students can purchase shuttle tickets to return home for Thanksgiving Break through November 15.
Thanksgiving shuttles to New Jersey, Long Island, Connecticut, near Boston, and Albany will depart from Donnelly on Tuesday, November 21 at 5:30 p.m. and return on Sunday, November 26 at 2:00 p.m.
Shuttle tickets can be purchased by visiting Hometown Ticketing.
- Round-trip tickets: $40
- One-way tickets: $25

Thanksgiving Airport Shuttle Tickets
Ticket sales through November 15

Students can stop by the Student Activities Office and purchase a shuttle ticket for JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark Airports. $40 one way!
Departure:
- Wednesday, November 22 at 5:00 a.m.
- Pick-up at Donnelly Hall
Return:
- Sunday, November 26
- There will be a return shuttle from each airport. Time to be determined.
Students should have a copy of their flight itinerary when they go to purchase the shuttle tickets. A return shuttle will be offered for students, based on interest. The return shuttle will be an additional $40, and the pickup time is to be determined. If there is little or no demand for return shuttles, Student Activities reserves the right to cancel return shuttles.

46th Annual William and Sadie Effron Lecture in Jewish Studies at Marist College

Join us for the 46th Annual William and Sadie Effron Lecture in Jewish Studies at Marist College. Our speaker will be Dr. Federica Francesconi. Dr. Federica Francesconi, is an Associate Professor of History and Director of the Judaic Studies Program, University at Albany, SUNY.
She will speak on the topic: “Between Worlds: Jewish Life in the Italian Ghettos during the Early Modern Age,” which will explore the lives of Jewish men and women, comparing their cosmopolitan cultures to their Italian-acquired identities, and examining issues of seclusion and ghettoization in Modena, Venice, and Rome during the early modern age, from the sixteenth through the eighteenth centuries.
The lecture is free and open to the public, with refreshments to follow. Email Joshua Kotzin with any questions.

Save the Date! Mid-Hudson Regional Business Plan Competition (MHRBPC)

The Mid-Hudson Regional Business Plan Competition, along with the New York State competition, represents a unique opportunity for entrepreneurial students to engage with business and government leaders, angel investors, venture capitalists and public investors, and get invaluable feedback for the potential launch of their business venture.
Students can attend the annual Information Session for the upcoming MHRBPC on November 16.

Students can take advantage of the on campus vaccine clinics throughout the fall semester. Students may select from a variety of vaccines: flu, Covid 19, HPV, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, MMR, Meningitis ACWY, and Meningitis B. Please bring your Marist ID, insurance card, and a method of payment (for any co-pays). Cost(s) are dependent upon insurance coverage.

Mike Bremer, Director of Student Programs at The American Pavilion, will give an overview of opportunities for students at the Cannes International Film Festival in France and Los Angeles, California. Since 1989, The American Pavilion has been the heart of Hollywood's presence at the Cannes Film Festival and its worldwide Student Programs have helped students launch their careers in the film industry. As the only student program officially recognized and sanctioned by the Festival de Cannes and the Marché du Film, The American Pavilion Student Programs offer participants unique and life-changing experiences and up-close views of both the Festival and the Market.
The program at the Cannes International Film Festival is for students interested in Film, Media, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business, Hospitality, Events, and Culinary. The Los Angeles program is for Film and Television students who are interested in relocating to Los Angeles.

Donuts and Drop-Ins with Career Services
The Marist College Center for Career Services will host Drop-In Hours for students from 3:30-5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays in Cannavino Library 332. Drop-In Hours will be for learning how to schedule appointments with career coaches using Handshake or brief resume reviews.
No appointment is necessary during Drop-In Hours.

Math Lab
The Math Lab is a peer help/tutoring center staffed entirely by student tutors, located in Hancock Center Room 3021.
Students may drop in without an appointment to seek assistance with certain mathematics courses.
The Math Lab staff can provide assistance with the following courses:

Writing Center
The Marist Writing Center is another resource that offers free, one-on-one tutoring sessions to anyone in the Marist College community. They work with writers at any stage of the writing process and can help whether you are on your first or final draft.
Students can visit the site to learn more and schedule appointments.

Counseling Services
Counseling Services is located in the heart of campus on the first floor of Midrise. Dedicated to campus wellness, they provide:
- Short-term, goal-focused, biweekly counseling
- Referrals to weekly, long-term and specialized options off campus or close to home
- Weekly groups and workshops
- Education and Trainings
- Medication Evaluation and Management
- Crisis Response

Academic Learning Center
The Academic Learning Center hosts a variety of programs to assist students:
Academic Review and Drop-In Sessions: The Academic Learning Center sponsors review and drop-in sessions in various subjects for students in need of help. (free service)
Private Tutoring: The Academic Learning Center trains and assigns peer tutors for students in need of individualized help. (minimal fee involved)
Proofreading: The goal of the proofreading program is to provide free proofreading services to the Marist community. Trained writing tutors will review student papers during staffed proofreading hours in the Academic Learning Center or online. (free service)
Drop-In Proofreading: A trained proofreader will be ready and waiting to proofread a student's paper for grammar and clarity. Students are served on a first-come, first-served basis. An appointment is needed for papers that are 10 or more pages in length. Please contact the Academic Learning Center directly to make an appointment.
On-Line Proofreading: Students should visit Brightspace.marist.edu and log in using their Marist account and password.
