Prayer for Israel and Palestine from Bishop Logue
“God of peace, we pray for the people of Israel and Palestine in this time of war.
For all who are fearful for the safety of their loved ones and themselves, we pray that the assurance of unfailing love, even in the midst of danger, settles upon them. Shelter them from despair and protect them from harm.
We remember before you the Anglican Archbishop of Jerusalem and the Middle East, the Most Reverend Hosam Elias Naoum, and the people of his churches, hospitals, and other ministries.
For all who have died, we pray they find rest.
For all who grieve, we pray they find comfort.
For all who are wounded, we pray they find healing.
For leaders on all sides, we pray for the will to lay down arms and for the conviction to embrace a path of reconciliation and peace that preserves the rights and dignity of all of your children.
God of justice, we pray with hopeful hearts that your beloved children of the Holy Land.
We ask all this in the name of your Son, Jesus. Amen.”

Grace Cafe News
With the semester drawing near to its end, our hardworking interns managing Grace Café continue their work to demonstrate the grace of God through food, fellowship, and ministry by serving well over 1,750 visitors since the beginning of the semester – which puts the café on pace to serve more visitors compared to last semester!
This week we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the following:
- To Paula Martinez, Connie Flowers, Krystle Black, Pat Denmark, Ann Turner as well as Bobby and Nikki Yarbrough for providing Breakfast Casseroles for the Café’s “Breakfast for Dinner” dinner.
- To Madison Proctor, Jacquie Thigpen, and our very own interns Federico and Cassidy for providing desserts to the café.
- To Sallie Honeycutt, Mimi Allen, and Molly and Paul Stevenson for donating drinks and fruits.
- To Allan and Joan Dear for the donation of a new toaster oven for the café.
- To Sue Ellen and Ken Rumstay, and Sallie and Steve Honeycutt for donating salty snacks to the café.
- To VSU’s Society of International Students (SIS) for hosting their harmonious karaoke night during the café’s “Breakfast for Dinner” dinner.
We appreciate you all. Thanks for all that you do to make Grace Café a success!
Our interns continue to help out parishioners where they can, while still loaning their
assistance to the church’s Garden Guild – where work on the labyrinth behind the rectory has been completed. Work is still ongoing to complete various cleaning and organizing projects for Fr. Hal. We would also like to commend Cassidy, Tobey, and Cat who have been diligently assisting in the nursery on Sundays and other days when needed.
Notably, some interns have expressed their interest in finding summer jobs. If you
can assist, or know someone who can assist in helping these interns find summer
employment please reach out to Jeri-Lyn Flowers at (404)-771-7116.
We have made 8 purchases from Second Harvest so far this semester. This is where we
get most of the coffee, snacks, and canned foods that we serve at the cafe. Our most recent purchase was for 350lbs of food which totaled $75.
A reminder that our upcoming dinners will be on April 11th and the 25th . The first will be
a baked potato bar and the subsequent dinner will be a “build your own nacho bar.” Please contact Jeri-Lyn Flowers at (404)-771-7116 if you would be willing to give desserts for these upcoming events.
Currently the café has a total of 9 loyal interns, and as of recently Jeri-Lyn has received
applications from 9 other prospective candidates. Interviews, conducted by the college ministry team, have concluded and the addition of 3 exceptional applicants, selected to join Grace Café’s spectacular team of interns, will be determined shortly.

A Prayer for Ukraine
God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace for wisdom, discernment, and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
Amen.
