Kim is the Foundation's Director of Development

What do you do?

In my role as Director of Development I lead the Foundation’s Giving & Recognition department. I enjoy getting to know our many supporters and value the relationships we have. My role is a natural extension of my non-profit fundraising and chapter leadership experience.

We have accomplished much since my first meetings with Chuck 4 ½ years ago when he asked me to build a department. We have experienced tremendous growth in individual and organizational fundraising and have launched new Foundation events like the Holiday Reception and the Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon. I am most excited about the opportunity we have with our upcoming 75th Anniversary campaign and gala.

Favorite Ways to Unplug

Hot Yoga is at the top of my list, and I am working toward my next milestone of seven hundred classes at my studio Sol Hot Yoga. I am an avid reader, I love to bake, hike, listen to live music, walk the Monon, dance, visit art fairs and festivals and spend time with friends and family including my grand dogs!

Favorite Books

One of my goals in 2024 is to read one book a month. I just finished Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. I also just started to re-read The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. I am interested in and curious about so many things and like to vary the categories and genres.

Favorite Foods

My favorite meal of the day is brunch – local Café Patachou delivers with the best omelet and cinnamon sour dough toast! For lunch meetings Bru Burger is a close walk from the office and one of our team’s favorites. If we are having dinner I’ll take a filet, asparagus, mashed potatoes, and a nice Pinot Noir.

Favorite TV Show

I am binge-watching JAG, a favorite from the early 90’s that ran for ten seasons. I am also watching The Bachelor. With all the choices today who knows what’s next?

Favorite Sports

I enjoy football, basketball, hockey, and lacrosse. Longtime Fort Wayne Komets, Indianapolis Colts, and IU Hoosiers fan.

Favorite Vacations

I love to travel, especially to visit family and friends. My favorite vacations include a beach, time in nature, and unplugging from the day to day.

A Little More...

Indiana is home. I grew up in Fort Wayne and have lived in Indianapolis, Noblesville and now Carmel. While I love to travel there are endless options right here in our own backyards. Nothing compares to experiencing life with those you love, living in gratitude and looking forward to the adventure a new day brings.
