Federation Report - September 3, 2021
Mississippi River Restoration and Resilience Initiative Act

The Conservation Federation of Missouri is engaged with a nascent national effort to create a 10-state initiative to restore the Mississippi River. Legislation to create such a program (a Mississippi River Restoration and Resilience Initiative) has now been introduced to Congress. Given its bipartisan, multi-state nature, we’re optimistic such a bill could advance in both chambers with potentially significant, long-lasting impacts on river health.

Springfield Banquet - CANCELLED

The Conservation Federation of Missouri has made the difficult decision to cancel the Springfield Banquet that was scheduled for October 7th. With rising COVID concerns in the Greene County area, our committee and leadership thought it was in the best interest of our members to cancel this event. We miss you and hope to get to see folks face-to-face very soon. Thank you to all the dedicated people in that area who help conserve our natural resources and serve as the voice for Missouri outdoors.

Sincerely,

Tyler Schwartze

Hunting and fishing are engrained in American culture. However, the true value of outdoor sports is far greater than retail sales, annual licenses and permits, or the number of participants. It's about the experience. Folklore is a powerful way to stabilize cultural practices and traditions. Conversations could begin at home, the workplace, or in the classroom, so start one today!

The book is available online in the CFM Store!
