*****The highest bid from the online auction will be the starting bid for the live auction at the actual banquet on Saturday night. If there are no bids higher than the online bid at the banquet, the online bid will win. Online bidders will be contacted within 1 week after the banquet, to coordinate payment and pickup from the CFM office/shipping.*****
Conservation Achievement Awards

The Conservation Federation of Missouri is pleased to announce the recipients of our Conservation Achievement Awards for 2021. These winners are Missourians who exemplify all that CFM stands for and have bettered Missouri's outdoors through personal efforts throughout 2021 and their lives. Congratulations to our award winners who will be recognized at the CFM Annual Convention Awards Ceremony on Friday, March 11th at Margaritaville Resort at Lake of the Ozarks. Reservations are not required for the Awards Ceremony portion of the CFM Convention.
CFM's 86th Annual Convention

Online registration is now closed for CFM's 86th Annual Convention. This year, the event will be spread over a whole week with Natural Resource Breakouts occurring virtually March 6-10th. March 11-13th will be in-person at Margaritaville at Lake of the Ozarks. Our in-person event will feature several new educational meeting blocks ranging from the World Bird Sanctuary to an update on Missouri's turkey population. See you next week for these educational and networking opportunities.
Pre-filed Resolutions Posted

Pre-filed resolutions have been posted on the CFM website. These resolutions are not in their final form and have not been passed by the CFM General Assembly. They will be voted upon at Convention in the Natural Resource Breakouts, by the Resolution Committee, then in the General Assembly. If they pass the General Assembly, they will become part of CFM's official policy. All CFM members that are registered for Convention can take part in the resolution process.

Legislative Update:

Yet another attack from the Legislature to control the constitutional authority of the Conservation Commission and MDC regarding appropriations. HJR 134, recently filed, would only add 8 words into the Constitution that would affect MDC, but they are powerful words, bolded here: “…pursuant to an appropriation by the general assembly for the control, management, restoration, conservation and regulation of the bird, fish, game, forestry and wildlife resources of the state…”

Please watch for this bill on our Legislative Action Center for updated information. The hearing is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 8 at 12:00 p.m. Please consider joining us.
