Nominations For Pugsley Award


The American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration is now accepting nominations for the Pugsley Medal Award, which is awarded to citizens, political leaders, park and conservation professionals who have dedicated their efforts to the advancement of parks and conservation at the local, regional, state, or national levels. Medal recipients inspire us as they have accomplished great things in furthering the parks and conservation agenda in the United States in their community in their region or state or nationally. To nominate visit their website HERE.

CFM’s ability to successfully achieve its mission depends on having an enthusiastic board with wide and varied backgrounds. Throughout its history CFM has been fortunate to have outstanding volunteer leadership.

In August the nominating committee will be seeking candidates for the 2024 ballot as follows:

MDC Updates


MDC's Elk and Bear Permit Lotteries are now open until the end of May. Winners of the lottery will be announced by July 1st. Visit MDC's website HERE to purchase your chance for a permit.


MDC is looking for experienced birders to help with their annual Bird Breeding Survey. Volunteers must be able to identify local birds by sight and sound. MDC needs one volunteer for each of the following counties: Barry, Cole, Dunklin, Sullivan, Gasconade, and Osage. If you are interested, visit MDC's website HERE for more information!
