Conservation Federation Convention is Citizens' Opportunity for Input
Over 500 citizens from all over Missouri will attend the Conservation Federation of Missouri's annual convention March 9-11 in Jefferson City.
Citizens often wonder how their voice can be heard when it comes to helping set the direction of conservation and natural resource management in Missouri. The best answer ...
Recognize your commitment to wildlife and certify your yard, balcony container garden, schoolyard, work landscape or roadside greenspace into a
Certified Wildlife Habitat®.
By creating a natural garden with native plants, you are providing essential elements of wildlife habitat: food, water, cover and a place for wildlife to raise their young. Add a water source - such as a birdbath - and follow sustainable gardening practices, and your garden will not only be wildlife-friendly, but it will qualify as a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat®.
In addition, a portion of your application processing fee supports the Conservation Federation of Missouri and the National Wildlife Federation's programs to inspire others to make a difference and address declining habitat for bees, butterflies, birds, amphibians and other wildlife. The fee is waived for schools.
Pre-filed resolutions for CFM's 82nd Annual Convention on March 9-11th, 2018 can now be viewed online here. These resolutions will be discussed and reviewed Saturday morning by the Resource Advisory Committees (RAC) before moving to the Resolutions Committee. The resolutions
will then go to the General Assembly for a final vote on Sunday.
