Celebrate the first day of trout season at a Missouri trout stream and win a new Fly Rod and Reel!


The first day of the CFM Annual Convention falls on the opening day of trout season, and we are hosting a trout photo contest!


Take a picture of your catch and/or your tag on the Opening Day of trout season at one of the four Missouri trout parks and email it to info@confedmo.org. You will then be entered in a drawing where we will pick one lucky winner at the Awards Ceremony on Friday evening to receive a 9-foot, 5-weight Orvis Encounter Fly Rod and Reel. It includes fly line, leader and backing. - Must be present at the awards ceremony to win.

CFM's Resolutions Committee has reviewed all resolutions submitted and passed along eight resolutions to be voted upon during CFM's Annual Convention. Resolutions will first be reviewed during the virtual Natural Resource Breakout sessions, and then voted by all present members during the General Assembly meeting on Saturday, March 2. CFM is excited to host our Annual Convention at the Lodge of Four Seasons Hotel in Lake of the Ozarks March 1-3. We will also host virtual Natural Resource Breakout Sessions starting next week leading up to the in-person event. We are excited to celebrate the past year's conservation success at the Friday night Awards Ceremony and host speakers Mark and Terry Drury from Drury Outdoors for our Saturday night Banquet.

Grasslands Summit Registration Now Open!


The 2024 Grasslands Summit will be a one of a kind opportunity to discuss the past, present, and future of Missouri's grasslands with resources agencies, business partners, and stakeholders. The Summit is a collaborative effort between many agencies and non-profit partners in an effort to look at what management practices have worked in the past, which have not worked, brainstorm new approaches, and chart a path forward for the grasslands in Missouri. The Summit will be held at the Capitol Plaza in Jefferson City on April 9-11.

Join Our Legislative Action Center to Stay Up To Date on Important Legislative Info!


CCFM's Legislative Action Center (LAC) helps keep Missouri citizens informed on important conservation related legislation being discussed in the Capitol. By signing up for the LAC on our website, you can receive emails alerting you when it is most critical to act and contact your Representatives and Senators. On Tuesday, February 20 at 9:15 a.m. there will be a hearing for Senate Bill (SB) 1281 which will create provisions to prohibit the sale of select invasive plants. Contact members of the  Agriculture, Food Production and Outdoor Resources Committee and let them know you are in support of this legislation. The hearing will be held in the State Capitol in Room Senate Committee Room (SCR) 1.

CFM Teams Up with MONWTF for Annual Governor's Youth Turkey Hunt


CFM and the MONWTF are once again teaming up to present the Annual Governor's Youth Turkey Hunt. Missouri Youth ages 10-15 will have an opportunity to learn important turkey hunting skills and get paired up with a mentor to go out and put their skills to the test on premier hunting land. Preference will be given to first time hunters, but applications will be accepted from returning hunters in case not all spots are filled.

Save the Date: Conservation Day at the Capitol - April 3


As part of CFM's mission to advocate for Missouri's rich outdoor legacy, we are excited to present our annual Conservation Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, April 3rd. This is a great chance to meet with your Representative and Senator to let them know the importance of passing good conservation bills, and respecting the constitutional authority of the Missouri Department of Conservation. We will be joined by many of our affiliate organizations in the Rotunda to provide legislators with important conservation info.
