CLC Applications Close Soon!


CFM is excited to announce that we are accepting applications for new students in our premier youth education program, the Conservation Leadership Corp. CLC is open to high school and college students who are interested in the outdoors, and would like to develop their leadership and other professionals skills. The application deadline is April 30th. Invasive Bills

Plant Bill Update


Only three weeks of the legislative session remain, so act now to help get the Cease the Sale bills passed yet this session! Missouri Senate Bill 1281 would ban the sale of five invasive plants in the state of Missouri, including Bush Honeysuckle. On the House side, Missouri House Bill 2412 is awaiting being brought to the floor for a vote. Contact your state senator and your state representative to voice your support for SB 1281 and HB 2412 respectively. MDC Names Jason Sumners as Tenth Director!


Missouri Department of Conservation began a national search for the newest Director after current director Sara Parker Pauley announced her planned retirement for June. They have just announced that current MDC Deputy Director Jason Sumners has been chosen to take the position on June 1st. Sumners currently serves has the Deputy Director of Resource Management, and has previously served as Chief of the Wildlife and Science branches with the Department.
