Office Update

Thank you for keeping Roger in your prayers. His shoulder surgery on March 7 went very well and he is on his way to making a full recovery.

While he is recovering over the next several weeks, some of us are helping to cover all the bases here in the office. We're doing our best to stay on top of emails, calls, calendar requests, and all other office functions. Thanks again for your patience and support.

Dear FPC,

Greetings from the pastor’s office! On Maundy Thursday we read the story of Jesus’ betrayal, arrest, and death on the cross—a story that concluded with darkness and silence. Join us on Sunday as we step into the light of an empty tomb and joyfully celebrate God’s victory over the grave! I’m looking forward to worshiping with you on this very special day.

Let’s get together!

Become better acquainted! Reconnect after covid!

It’s time to start inviting one another to share a breakfast, a lunch, a tea time or a dinner. Keep it simple with a potluck, enjoy a restaurant, or handle the cooking yourself. Just remember the goal is to get to know someone from church better. Consider including folks you don’t already know.

We’ll start these in April, so there will be an activity while Pastor John is in Germany enjoying spaetzle and sauerkraut.

Giving Up Socks for Lent

The Presbyterian Women's Group is organizing the collection drive "Socks for COTS" during this Lenten season.

There is a big blue bin in the back of the sanctuary which will stay there until Easter Sunday. The next day all donations will be taken to COTS.

We welcome ALL (new) socks! Men's socks are needed most, but also women and children socks can be donated. Remember, you can donate each and every Sunday between now and Easter.

Blue Zones Petaluma

Save the date!

The Blue Zones Petaluma Community Kick-off event is scheduled for Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 12-3pm at the Petaluma JC campus. Put this on your calendars and plan to attend!

Blue Zones is dedicated to helping everyone to live longer, better. More details will be shared as the date draws near.

Earth Day

Sunday, April 21st will be our Earth Day Celebration. After the service, everyone is invited into the garden to see where all that marvelous produce on the back table comes from. You’ll be amazed to see how productive those raised beds are. There will be a list of garden tasks for anyone who can stay and help keep the plants happy. Visit the bee hive to see some real workers! We’ll have snacks and drinks on hand.

Finally, let’s try our first Plant and Seed Exchange. Bring potted or bare root plants to share, preferably labeled. Houseplants, succulents, and cuttings welcome! What about pots or small garden tools you’re no longer using?

Seeds can be from your own garden, or store bought packets that you won’t be needing. Just learning about one another’s garden can be enlightening.

The Garden Committee looks forward to being with you all. See you April 21st!
