What's your WHY? Why do you come to work at your alma mater?

"I have always genuinely enjoyed helping others in various ways. Addressing technical issues comes naturally to me and I enjoy being challenged with unique problems. I get a sense of fulfillment when I can solve an issue and also by helping others. Additionally, the connections that I have made in the short time that I have been here have really allowed me to feel an overall sense of belonging."

Looking Ahead

"I was admitted to the Master's of Science in Information Security at CPP and I'm thrilled to be connected as staff and student simultaneously. I will be starting this Fall and look forward to advancing in my academic journey."

What makes you excited to work at the place where you learned?

"I received so much support and encouragement during my time as a student that it excites me to support students who are experiencing university life. Providing services and support to international students is especially rewarding as they are navigating many challenges and exciting adventures. It’s important for them to know they have support."

Commitment to CPP

"I retired in 2020. I have had the privilege to return to campus as an interim. It’s been a very enjoyable year and I’m grateful!"

What is something at CPP that you absolutely love being a part of?

"I love contributing to student success and collaborating with others. I enjoy teaching, which I get to do as an adjunct lecturer, but also in all my other roles. I love working with others - Being a lecturer allows me to be close to students, which helps me serve them and faculty better in my "day job". I love helping others - whether it was at the IT Service Desk, ATI or Information Security - I have a lot of opportunities to help others. Commencement is one of the best events to "fill up" on "what we do and why we do it." I love being part of this event."

What's your WHY? Why do you come to work at your alma mater?

"I came back, and continue to work at CPP because the mission is meaningful. I can drive by campus on the freeway (especially when I could see the CLA), and feel pride in what I do and who I serve. The people at CPP agree on the mission, their love for the campus and students. It is a great family to be a part of."
