Founder's Note: Autumn at EM!
by John Stasio
The leaves are changing colors here on the mountain, reminding us of the ever changing nature of life. We have been a part of milestones for our community members, from weddings to memorials, and more. We are winding down from a busy summer and looking forward to catching up on some projects and preparations for the fall and winter months. As we head into 2020 and gear up for our 20th Anniversary, we are making plans for some new building projects, planning our programming for the year and making some improvements to our membership program. We will keep you up to date as these exciting initiatives develop! From now through March, when things slow down a bit , we rely on our members for their continued support through time, talent and treasure. Easton is able to provide programs and serve our community year round, and we could not do it without your help! Please consider coming to a program, making a
donation
, becoming a
member
or
volunteering
in the months ahead, so that we can continue to be here to help our community members make cherished memories!

FROM OUR BLOG: Touch for Men Who Love Men - by Arnie Katz
As a massage therapist and workshop facilitator who has worked with men who love men for decades, what I notice the most is "touch hunger" and "skin hunger". With so many men on apps and on the computer and texting, though there may be a sense of ...

Staff Spotlight

Meet our newest staff member: Dan Codispoti! Dan has been helping assist our chefs in the kitchen and has begin taking on some special projects as well!
Dan is a New Hampshire native who recently made the move to western Vermont. He was homeschooled with his two brothers and has built up a wide array of work experience in the years since. From working for a construction contractor to food service work as a Barista to volunteer work for a non-profit Organic Farm in West Virginia. When he's not helping out in the kitchen at Easton Mountain, Dan likes to spend his time enjoying the outdoors and working on creative projects like music, writing and board game design.

It’s often easier to get volunteers in the summer months, but we need long- and short-term volunteers now through the winter. If you can help us out during a retreat, we can use you! If you have some more time to get away from your regular life, maybe you would like to have a conversation about a longer term stay at Easton. Another way you can help is to sign up for our
Community Building Weekend October 25-27. If you have any desire to volunteer, either for a weekend, long term or for special projects, get in touch with our volunteer coordinator!

Easton's RV Community!

To the right of the guesthouse is the foundation of an old restaurant called the Chalet, which burned down in the 80's. Starting last summer, we began experimenting with having RV's up there and it has grown into a mini-community. Greg Skalny was the first to move his trailer in and he has been beautifying the space, adding plants and doing other projects. Over the past summer the RV park has also been a home to Chef Rick, Henry Bartlett who was doing special grounds projects here, and other volunteers like Miguel Reyes. We hope to continue to develop and expand this space to create options for long time community members to be here seasonally!
