City Hall Cultural Heritage Exhibits | |
The City Hall Cultural Exhibit was created to celebrate the city’s many cultural legacies including the genres of visual arts, circus arts, architecture, ethnic groups, tourism, and historical documentation. The intent of the exhibit is to beautify Sarasota’s historic City Hall atrium and the SRQ Media Studio in the City Hall Annex building while informing the city’s citizens and visitors of Sarasota’s rich history in the arts and culture.
The City of Sarasota Cultural Heritage Exhibits provide a museum-quality experience that is free and open to the public focusing on the visual arts and historical documentation, including paintings and photographs, of Sarasota's cultural heritage and legacy.
The second free exhibit celebrating the City of Sarasota’s rich cultural heritage is now on display in the City Hall lobby, 1565 First Street. This new exhibit focuses on the historic Sarasota School of Architecture and includes models, renderings, reproductions, original blueprints, and archival photographs provided by Architecture Sarasota and Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources. The open house is scheduled for Monday, October 23, 2023, from 5:30-7:30 PM.
| |
First Friday Sip and Shop event is set for Friday, Oct. 6th from 5 to 8 p.m. The event is open to the public and sponsored by The Downtown Sarasota Enrichment Association.
While enjoying street entertainment, stroll trendy fashion boutiques and art galleries, experience wine tastings, and more! There's something for everyone!
