With Easter behind us (and hopefully the last of the rainy days), we’re looking forward to more outdoor festivals, farmers markets and some sunshine.

Monday Bakery & Cafe in Sonoma

... have you been? Founder and owner, Sally Geftakys, a CIA Greystone graduate and baker, first launched her baked goods concept at local farmers markets and pop ups in 2017.

Come 2019, Geftakys opened a storefront in downtown Napa with great success on 2nd Street! Monday Bakery and Cafe expanded to Downtown Sonoma on E Napa Street in late 2023 and as a lover of both Napa and Sonoma, we could not be happier these baked goods are now specific to both sides of Wine Country.

We highly recommend the croissants!

Earth Day

Earth Day Napa 2024 will be held on Saturday, April 20th at the Oxbow Commons from 11am-4pm. Napa County RCD will also host an Earth Day Cleanup that morning from 9am-11:30am so you can do a bit good before enjoying all the festivities. All proceeds benefit EECNC’s Field Trip Bus Grant Program and the Darcy Aston Scholarship. Dogs are welcome on a leash, a water bottle filling station is provided, and a free bike valet is hosted by the Napa Bike Coalition.

Moro

Moro, the new Moroccan street fare counter service restaurant, has opened in the old C Casa footprint in Oxbow Market in Napa. The restaurant draws inspiration from “the grab-and-go food of Chef Mourad’s childhood and the food stalls at Jemaa el-Fnaa, Marrakesh’s famous night market.

Chef Mourad also operates two restaurants in San Francisco: Aziza, a more casual restaurant in the Richmond District, and Mourad, a fine dining restaurant downtown.
