Here are two messages in verse that my husband Carl had written in 2003. When I read them this morning, my eyes became a fountain of tears as I wept and wept. Earlier, the Lord was giving me the same thoughts. Hence, I can confidently say that these two poems clearly reflect the heart of God at this time in our history.
Please read these two messages slowly, carefully, and above all, prayerfully. May they be used to impart to you (as they did me) a great burden to pray (yes, and even weep) for America.
For those of you who are from other nations of the world, will you allow these messages to burden you to pray for America - and yes, even for your own nation?

The Church of God---alive or dead ?

The Church of God was once alive,
only TRUTH did preachers tell;
but, now, they mostly tickle ears
while folks march off to HELL.
"As goes the church, so goes the nation"
someone has well said.
America is dying fast,
because the Church is dead.
In Revelation chapter three,
and verse one,
we find a message of WARNING
from God's beloved Son.
Jesus was the speaker,
and to His Church He said,
"You think that you are so alive,
but you are really dead."
But, Jesus did not end it there
in this His message sent,
He said His Church could live again
if they would just REPENT.
So, if we bow before our God
and get down on our knees,
the Holy Ghost will move again
from sea to shining seas.
The Church of God must rise again,
filled with FAITH and FIRE;
our preachers must be sent of God,
not the ones we hire.
Before he ascends to the pulpit,
we should swear the preacher in---
"Do you swear to tell all the TRUTH
and will you WARN of SIN? "
And if he says---"I will,
for with the Gospel I am shod,
and I swear to tell the whole TRUTH,
and nothing else, so help me God."
Then let that preacher have his say,
let him say what needs to be said,
then the Church of God will come alive
and be no longer dead.
And, if the Church does come alive,
filled with HOLY GHOST POWER;
then America will live again
and see Her finest hour.

America...you let the devil in

America, the beautiful, you let the devil in,
and now you are guilty of, and ugly as, the wretchedness of SIN.
Adultery, Fornication, and Homosexuality;
America lives in all this wickedness and laughs at it on TV.
The HOLY Bible tells us---"Fools make a mock of SIN."
America--the home of FOOLS, since you let the devil in.
Because of HIS great patience,
God's JUDGMENT is delayed.
Even while our streets are full of violence,
and sodomite parades.
God's goodness, says the BIBLE,
is to lead us to REPENT.
Instead we've taken God for granted,
and to every evil passion given vent.
America, you are worse than Sodom,
and Noah's generation.
God's Bible teaches---God has FIRE enough
for every EVIL nation.
It's not His judgment, but His mercy,
that God longs to show.
But, if America does not SOON repent,
it's His judgment we will know.
Our preachers preach a God of LOVE,
we've all learned that lesson well.
Will somebody, now, please stand up,
and warn us all of HELL?
It's NOT Heaven that we are going to,
if we live on earth in SIN.
America, you have been deceived,
since you let the devil in.
