City of Chino Cooling Centers
With temperatures on the rise, the City of Chino is here to help you beat the heat with cooling centers available for all residents. These centers are activated when temperatures exceed 100 degrees, providing a safe and cool environment for everyone. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Cooling Centers in Chino:
Neighborhood Activity Center, 5201 D Street
- Open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Senior Center, 13170 Central Avenue
- Open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Preserve Community Center, 15800 Main Street
- Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
When temperatures reach the triple digits, the City of Chino encourages the community to take proper precautions:
- Wear loose, lightweight, and light-colored clothing
- Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated
- Avoid high-energy outdoor exercises or activities
- Check in on family members, older adults, and neighbors
- Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles
