It’s tonight!
We’re just hours away from the special FREE performance by internationally acclaimed Duo Organists Elizabeth & Raymond Chenault. Tonight at 7 pm, the team that has been called “the world’s premiere organ duo” by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, will perform a variety of music on our magnificent organ, followed by a reception where we can toast their performance.
The Chenaults just became the 2024 recipients of the Distinguished Artist Award from the American Guild of Organists (AGO). They’ll be honored in April at a special AGO Gala.

Three great opportunities
to live out our mission
this Summer.
It’s a very exciting and active time for missions at St. James’s. After a long period of discernment, the Missions Committee has generated a new mission statement:
“Following the example of Jesus Christ, the Missions Ministry of St. James’s seeks to cultivate and sustain mutual relationships with God, our mission partners, and each other.”
This summer, we’re attempting to live into our mission as we invest in relationships with three mission partners.
- Our Little Roses Home for Girls in Honduras
- Harvest of Hope on the Eastern Shore of Virginia
- Hurley Community Development Center
To see our Summer Missions flyer, go here.
To visit the Missions page on our website, go here.
Please note that the deadline to arrange for our Honduras Mission is March 15.
You can also support our efforts without ever leaving Richmond by participating on our Mission Committee. To know more, you can reach out to the chair of the Mission Committee, Julie Wade (juliecwade@gmail.com) or Rev. Blake Singer.(bsinger@doers.org)

Ash Wednesday Services
February 14
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent, a time of spiritual warfare, of fasting, penitence, and preparation for the Easter feast. Beginning in the tenth century ashes were imposed on this day upon penitent sinners in preparation for their restoration to full communion with the Church.
On Wednesday we will have Holy Eucharist services at 12 pm and 7 pm in the Sanctuary.
Ashes-to-Go outside the sanctuary from 8:30 am to 10:30 am
Please note we will have Wednesday Night Dinner at 6 pm in Valentine Hall.
