APICS Atlanta has been serving the Metro Atlanta area for almost 60 years. A legal 501(c)6 organization, our Chapter is looking to grow our sponsorship program so that we can move the needle even more with our programming, especially our task forces:
- Skills Gap Task Force
- Veteran Transition Gap Assistance Task Force
- Gender Gap Task Force
We want to reach more elementary students to plant seeds about Supply Chain careers! We'd like to grow our scholarship program to equip more Veterans with leading supply chain certifications to help their transition into the private sector. How can APICS Atlanta better address the Gender Gap in industry, working with our dynamic partners such as ShowMe50?

"Struggling to Engage Millennials? It's not Them, it's Your Technology"
As millennials make up more and more of today’s workforce, many businesses are realizing their traditional methods of getting work done don’t cut it anymore. For businesses used to complex enterprise software installations and paper files, these evolving worker expectations can be a serious adjustment. But to attract the best talent and boost engagement company-wide, many businesses need to shift their tech perspective. They must see technology advancements not as the enemy brought on by a younger generation, but as a necessary evolution that pays dividends in business productivity as well as employee satisfaction.
While millennials may be prompting a sea change in the way we view technology in the workplace, this generation is merely bringing to light a revolution that began long before them. By using changing employee demographics as an opportunity to modernize, businesses can enhance employee engagement and performance across the workplace.

"The Power of Connecting to End-Customer Demand"
Leading supply chain organizations use true demand to increase service levels and grow sales. Especially as omni-channel commerce increases complexity and retailers put increasing pressure on consumer goods companies, managing to end-customer demand is key to keeping up with a fast changing market. Developing a single source of truth across your supply chain can help you strengthen your relationships with internal and external partners, and quickly collaborate to respond to the market, avoiding out-of-stocks and over-stocks.
Join us to learn why downstream sales and inventory visibility is critical to best-in-class supply chain organizations, and how you can start (or accelerate) leveraging it efficiently to gain a competitive advantage. We'll share best practices for advancing from data ingestion to predictive analytics to decision-making, like forecasting and product launch management.
